Remember most high level kha players go q first though. Id say for 99% of players just q evolve first into w. In mid game, R would be on like 40s cooldown on bruiser while on assasin would be at around 60. U just have so much more options to go in with bruiser build. Ravenous Hydra removes Kha'Zix's main weakness of having a slow clear, while also giving a crazy amount of AD that makes it the best item on him either way. Hydra works on both bruiser and assassin builds, but its omnivamp and lack of lethality makes it synergize better on bruiser builds. Kha is also safer. You can jump in, assassinate and jump out. Rengar get's in, assassinates, dies or get help to clean up. Khazix is just easier Rengar for the most part. way easier to execute too. Rengar is more of a bruiser assassin who needs to abuse bushes constantly to min max. Compared to other bruisers like jarvan renek Darius irelea etc. kha doesn't have a lot of things that they do: free armor/hp, free armor shred, true damage, cc, %hp and/or %armor/Mr scaling. Those are built into bruiser kits to help bruisers be bruisers.I like to play him with conqueror and with bruiser and assassin items. Conqueror in the paper looks better for kha’zix on season 11 than the current rune. New duskblade has some anti-synergies with kha’zix, plus the big downfall to the damage output (as you can not longer proc it once per ult cast).
